Vermont Green FC has announced that Niklas Herceg, Alex Hall, and Joseph Picotto will be on the roster for the U.S. Open Cup match against Portland Hearts of Pine.
Herceg is the breakout goalkeeper from the University of Vermont who also featured heavily in 2025. He started 13 matches for The Green in 2025.
The German was named 2025 American East goalkeeper of the year for his performance with the Catamounts. The goalkeeper appeared in 20 games and recorded 10 clean sheets and a 0.74 goals against average.
After winning a championship with The Green, Hall won an NCAA championship with the University of Washington. He featured in 24 games in 2025 and scored five goals and eight assists. Hall was also named to the All-Big Ten First Team.
Picotto is fresh off a 2025 season with Maryland where he tallied two goals and seven assists.
Vermont takes on Portland on March 17th.
