The SheBelieves Cup kicked off Sunday, and the U.S. Women’s National Team started out with a 2-0 victory over Argentina.
The starting lineup included Claudia Dickey in goal joined by Kennedy Wesley, Gisele Thompson, and Tara Rudd on the backline. Maddie Dahlien, Olivia Moultrie, Lindsey Heaps, Lily Yohannes, and Emma Sears played in the middle with Jaedyn Shaw and Jameese Joseph at the top.
Lilly Reale, Claire Hutton, Trinity Rodman, Ally Sentnor, Emily Fox, and Alyssa Thompson also saw some minutes in the second half.
Heaps opened the scoring in the 19th minute with an assist from Sears. Shaw scored the second goal through the hands of Argentina keeper Solana Pereyra at the 56th minute.
