Rhode Island FC has seen two more players depart the club ahead of the 2026 USL Championship season and another appears to be on the move as well.

On Friday evening, defender Aime Mabika had his contract with the club terminated as the club and the player agreed to mutually part ways. Mabika joined Rhode Island FC on May 2, 2025, and started 18 games in 25 appearances across all competitions.

Additionally, Marc Ybarra appears to be on his way out of Rhode Island as he posted a goodbye to fans on social media.

The midfielder signed with RIFC in December 2023. In his first season with RIFC, Ybarra was one of only two players to appear in all 38 games and led the club with 37 starts. In 2,990 minutes played, he scored a goal and four assists. He added another assist in 2025 and made 25 appearances in all competitions last year.

Finally, goalkeeper Jackson Lee has signed a contract with expansion side Brooklyn FC. He joins fellow former RIFC player Gabriel Alves in New York.

Lee made 27 appearances in all competitions over two seasons for Rhode Island.
