Hearts had a disjointed offseason, dealing with weather, injuries, visas, and more.
Two of their scrimmages were cancelled, and one was played with only four signed players because others were dealing with knocks. Serigne Mbacke Faye and Emiliano Terzaghi only recently arrived.
Head coach Bobby Murphy noted last year that his style of play, which is aggressive and front-footed, is "sometimes counterintuitive to what people are taught." Training sessions are critical to get everyone on board.
