Ayoub Lajhar is returning to Burlington for his second season. The Libyan midfielder returns after a sophomore campaign at the University of Connecticut where he appeared in 16 matches for the Huskies and tallied one assist.
The Green also added two players from colleges in Massachusetts. The club signed defender Rui Aoki and midfielder Diego Rived.
Aoki is transferring to the University of Vermont after a successful senior season at UMASS Lowell. The Japanese defender made 27 appearances for the River Hawks and recorded one assist.
Rived comes to Vermont after an impressive junior season with Boston University. The Spaniard was named Patriot League Midfielder of the Year and lead the Terriers to a second consecutive league title. Rived will be preparing for his senior season at BU in the fall.
The Green also added another goalkeeper and another Georgetown Hoya to the roster. Goalkeeper Tenzing Manske will be spending the summer in Burlington. Manske started 17 games for the Hoyas this past season, tallying eight solo clean sheets with 41 saves.
