Vermont Green FC Announces Return of Three Players From Inaugural Season
Three more players will be returning to Vermont after playing with the club in 2022
Vermont Green FC is continuing to prepare for the 2023 USL League Two season and the club has announced that three more players will be returning for the 2023 season.
Sam McCann, Bilal Kamal, and Alfredo Bozalongo will both be returning to Vermont this Summer. McCann made five appearances last year and tallied 91 minutes played while finding the back of the net twice. Bozalongo was a more permanent fixture in the lineup playing in 12 games and also tallying two goals. Kamal was more content dishing out assists with two in 10 games played last season.
McCann is a product of the NYCFC Academy and will be playing his college ball at George Mason after the 2023 USL League Two season. The Connecticut native played his last two college seasons at Quinnipiac where he scored six goals and four assists in 28 games played.
Kamal also has quite the pedigree as he played for England’s U-15 squad as well as Norwich City’s youth squads. The London native tallied five goals and three assists in 20 games played collegiate in 2022 at the University of New Hampshire.
Bozalongo plays collegiately for William & Mary. In 2022, he played in 14 games and secured two goals and two assists during the season.
