U.S. Soccer Announces 2026 USMNT Friendlies
The second best player in soccer will return to the United States
The United States will play some star-studded competition in the lead-up to the 2026 World Cup.
The USMNT will face Portugal, Belgium, Germany and a yet to be revealed opponent in the windows leading up to the World Cup.
“For us, this is a massive opportunity to challenge ourselves against some of the top teams in the world. These are incredible matches for the players and for the fans,” USMNT head coach Mauricio Pochettino said. in a statement “We are so happy to be playing in our new home of Atlanta, and of course to be competing in the great cities of Charlotte and Chicago ahead of the World Cup.”
As the new home of U.S. Soccer, Atlanta will host a pair of matches in the March window. The slate begins with a match against Belgium on March 28 and then three days later, the United States will face Portugal.
Following the announcement of the USMNT roster that will represent the United States at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, N.C. will host the Allstate Continental Clásico on May 31, against an opponent to be determined.
To close out its World Cup preparation schedule, the USMNT will take on four-time World Cup champion Germany in a send-off match on June 6 at Soldier Field in Chicago.
