Boston Legacy FC is calling all Maxxinistas as the club announced its sponsorship deal with Framingham-based retailer TJ Maxx on Tuesday.
The TJ Maxx logo will be emblazoned on the team’s primary and secondary jerseys for all regular and postseason matches starting in 2026. Fans will also see branding at Gillette Stadium during the team’s home games.
“Partnering with TJ Maxx goes far beyond a logo on our kit,” Jennifer Epstein, BLFC’s controlling owner said. “This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to authenticity, confidence, and individuality – values that define both our athletes and our fans. Together, we’re elevating the connection between sport, style, and community, and we’re proud to have our crest displayed alongside TJ Maxx beginning in 2026.”
The multi-year deal is a first for both teams: BLFC’s first major sponsorship and the retailer’s first official jersey sponsorship.
Though this is a new endeavor for the brand, it has been investing in women’s sports since 2023. It has partnered with media company TOGETHXR, which is responsible for the iconic “Everyone Watches Women’s Sports” shirts, and collaborated with several athletes such as rugby player Ilona Maher.
“TJ Maxx is proud to take our commitment to women’s sports to the next level as the front-of-kit sponsor for Boston Legacy Football Club, a team with whom we share values and a hometown,” Emily Trent, TJ Maxx’s senior vice president of marketing said. “This organization reflects our ambition to celebrate women’s individuality, uplift players’ unique stories on and off the field and inspire more fans to tune into the exciting world of women’s sports. From championing their personal stories to their personal style, TJ Maxx cannot wait to show up for the players, coaches and fans on gameday and beyond all season long.”
Both groups will make a donation to Boston-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit Dream Big! The organization aims to make sports accessible to girls and young women from low-income backgrounds by providing appropriate equipment and attire, as well as sports scholarships.
The Legacy will reveal its kit just before the start of the 2026 season.
