Revolution Recieve "Good News" About Leo Campana's Injury
An injury update on the 24-year-old attacker.
Leo Campana isn’t expected to miss too much time, according to New England Revolution head coach Caleb Porter.
Campana was subbed out of Saturday’s game against the San Jose Earthquakes in the 32nd minute. It was the second time this season that the 24-year-old striker was forced to leave early due to injury.
After the game, Porter said, “I think he has a hamstring [injury].” He provided an update on Tuesday.
“It’s grade one, so that’s good news,” Porter said. “It will probably be a couple weeks. He’ll miss next week, but he should be back for Cincinnati [on June 14].”
Porter said Luca Langoni “is further away” after suffering a quad injury in the U.S. Open Cup game against Rhode Island FC.
The head coach noted that Tomas Chancalay, Maxi Urrui, and Luis Diaz are “all a little nicked up.” He expects these players, who all got minutes on Saturday, to be available for the week ahead, which features three road games.
“We would expect Chancalay, Maxi, and Luis to all be fine, hopefully,” Porter said.
