The New England Revolution faced off against the Columbus Crew on Saturday evening and were able to secure a crucial three points with a 2-1 win.

Head coach Caleb Porter had his side remain in a 4-2-3-1 as Matt Turner started in net behind the backline of Peyton Miller, Mamadou Fofana, Brayan Ceballos, and Ilay Feingold. Matt Polster and Alhassan Yusuf served as defensive midfielders while Carles Gil was in his usual No. 10 role. Ignatius Ganago and Luca Langoni were on the wings while Leo Campana was the lone striker up top.

But what do you need to know about the match? Here are three thoughts.
