Mauricio Pochettino named his final roster ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup roster and New England Revolution goalkeeper Matt Turner made the cut.

Pochettino called up 27 players who will make up the roster for friendlies against Belgium and Portugal towards the end of March. Turner is joined by fellow goalkeepers Chris Brady, Matt Freese, and Roman Celentano. Turner and Freese are the only goalkeepers who are capped.

“We have spent the last 18 months developing the player pool so we can be prepared to make the correct decisions for the World Cup roster, and this is another valuable opportunity,” Pochettino said in a statement. “We must treat these games like they are a part of the World Cup, and what is most important is that the players bring the right mentality and commitment to the group.”

Working our way up the field, Antonee Robinson features in a USMNT squad for the first time since 2024. Jedi will be a welcome addition as he is the best outside back in the USMNT setup.

In the midfield, Johnny Cardoso will look to make his first appearance since June of 2025. The Atletico Madrid midfielder has been performing well at club level but has struggled to have a similar impact with the USMNT.

Additionally, Gio Reyna has been called up. While he struggles to stay fit, there is no doubt that he is one of the most talented players in the USMNT setup.

Reyna has played just 403 minutes for Borussia Mönchengladbach this season, and none since January 17 due to a thigh injury. But in a November friendly against Paraguay, Reyna scored a goal and an assist.

Adding to the local connections, Miles Robinson and Patrick Agyemang made the roster.
