Portland Hearts of Pine fans will get to hear from founder Gabe Hoffman-Johnson ahead of the USL League One sides second season.

Hoffman will be speaking with Portland Press Herald staff writer Steve Craig will sit down with the club founder at USM's Hannaford Hall on Tuesday, February 24th at 7 p.m. The conversation is a part of the Maine Voices series that is put on by The Maine Trust for Local News and the Portland Press Herald.

"Maine Voices Live is one of the Portland Press Herald’s longest-running event series that has featured actors, writers, artists, and innovators of all kinds that make Maine great," Meagan Reilly, Portland Press Herald Event Coordinator, said in a statement. "In 2026, we’re specifically focusing on Maine storytellers – people who have defined and shared their own stories about Maine that have found resonance far beyond Maine’s borders. Gabe Hoffman-Johnson saw an opportunity to bring professional soccer to Maine, and the result has been overwhelmingly electric. Because of his work, the Hearts of Pine have given people something positive to connect over – in Maine and outside of it."
