Former Portland Hearts of Pine striker Azaad Liadi has moved on to a new club, signing with Greenville Triumph SC in 2026.
Liadi appeared in 14 USL League One matches for Portland, making eight starts, and finished the year with three goals. Early in the season, Liadi emerged as one of Portland’s top scoring threats, netting three goals in the team’s first two U.S. Open Cup matches, including a brace in the club’s inaugural game; but a mid-season injury seemed to limit his overall production.
Throughout his career, Liadi has shown a knack for scoring, tallying nine goals for South Georgia Tormenta in 2021 and 12 for Huntsville City FC of MLS NEXT Pro in 2023.
Greenville will be his sixth USL club. He also had a brief Major League Soccer stint, making one appearance for D.C. United on an emergency loan.
For Greenville, a team that found the back of the net just twice in its final five matches last season, the addition of Liadi brings a much-needed scoring threat and potential to spark the team’s attack.
