New England Revolution center back Brayan Ceballos could be headed to Independiente Sante Fe, depending on the club's economic situation.

According to Claro Sports Colombia's Nelson Rivera Pulido, Sante Fe has advanced negotiations that would bring the defender to the club.

"The central is already negotiated but we must wait for the reaction of the people to ensure that future income," Sante Fe club president Luis Eduardo Méndez said, according to Pulido, via Google translation. "The center back has already been talked, but we are waiting for the response of the people, so as not to compromise the interests of the club".

The people being referred to is the Sante Fe fans as the club is launching its season ticket plan for the Copa Libertadores.

"We are waiting for the response of the people, because we are going to make the investment of a great player who comes from the MLS," Mendez added. "Brayan Ceballos is negotiated to arrive, but we are finalizing the economic issue, we are waiting for the response of our people."

In January, Colombian journalist Carlos Arturo Arango, reported that the Colombian club made an official offer that was rejected by the Revs. Arango added that New England could accept a loan deal if it included a mandatory purchase option.

Ceballos started 29 matches and scored a goal in 2025. According to his former club Fortaleza, he was acquired by the Revs for $1.8 million.
