Wonder if the 3-5-2 might be something especially if Jones leaves. After the back 3, have Borrero and Bye/Nacho on the wings, Blessing Poster and Carles in the middle, then Vrioni and Bou up top. It will definitely be interesting to see what they roll out with these next few weeks.

4-2-2-2 to start. Traditional back 4, Polster and Blessing cdm, Gil and Borrero wide AM. Bou and Vrioni strikers. If need defense take out Bou and add 3rd CB

I don’t mind the idea of letting Gil cut in from the wing, especially because he has a good relationship with Bye. That said, Gil is so good when in the middle.

What are the chances that the Revs play Farrell as the 6? Move Romney next to Kessler

I’d be surprised if Farrell moved into the midfield but he did play some minutes there when he was in college.

Does Bou really defend enough to play wide right in the 4-2-3-1? Shoehorning all our best players into the starting XI either means someone is out of position and not maximizing their ability or someone who needs to defend won't be. I think egos could get hurt this year.

I think the 4-4-2 could work, especially after seeing Borrero play a central role versus the United States.

Bou makes things tough. When he’s on, he’s quite good, but there are limited roles he can play. I will say that there’s a chance he plays as a lone striker if Vrioni has a slow start.

I think sacrificing a little from Borrero to go 4-4-2 makes sense, because I agree, he's still pretty good centrally. That at least gets all the top attackers in good positions. I guess Vrioni is the big question mark. I hope he's a big Gass Theorem guy this year.
