Andrew Farrell’s career, as shown by his stellar performance in the U S Open cup against RIFC this year, does not need to be over. Just because Porter was a jerk does not mean he couldn’t play another year for the Revs alumni squad, aka Arena’s San Jose Earthquakes.
Hi Paul. I thought the initial foul for the shoulder charge was just a regular foul. Maybe Miller throwing the ball at the back of the Philly player could have warranted a yellow card, but I think that would have been harsh to send off Miller for that as a second yellow. I definitely don't think that action deserved a straight red. If Miller had thrown the ball at the player's head, maybe some disciplinary action might have been warranted. I have seen players throw the ball at other players and not get carded before. I just thought throwing a ball at another player, not targeting their head, did not warrant an automatic red card. Obviously I am a bit biased though
Thanks John. I guess I missed that it was a straight red vs. two yellows. I definitely think it warranted a yellow card, which would have resulted in Miller's ejection anyway.
Absolutely spot on! Bring back Farrell! Face it, he's still smarter than most of those people on the pitch.
I completely agree. If this is Andrew's last season as a player, he deserves a start at the Razor before the 2025 campaign is done and dusted.

Who cut all these onions in here?? 😭
What was controversial about the Miller red card? And why didn't you agree with it?

That was a red. He looked at the guy, not the ball, and went after him. Then threw the ball at him. All that together is a red.
