Next week could be a doozy though. Against a team that already has 8 goals.

Caleb Porter -13 wins out of 45 games as Revolution head coach.

No team of any MLS stature can afford a zero goals two-game beginning to the season.

Porter has earned no credibility here to get wait-and-see allowance from Revs fans.

After the crash-and-burn of last year, you had better get an offense capable of playing good soccer fast.

I was pretty negative about our lack of offense yesterday, but after sleeping on it I think we’re on the path to improvement. Giving up only one goal across two games, when one of those games was on the road and the other was against Columbus, is pretty good. Having a solid defense to lean on while we work on our attack is a much better place than we were at last year and if we get an attack online with this defense we’ll be a scary team.

Hope that develops! Either way, I’ll be watching every week. Just for my own happiness I hope they figure out an attack haha

The Revs total xG (from FotMob) over the two games is 1.17. Zero goals so far is only acceptable because we have done decently defensively with one goal against. Yes, the defense is playing well.

We gotta score goals. We have to create more chances. It’s a very small sample size, yes, and patience is certainly warranted with the roster refresh…

Wasn't it 2023 when Columbus won the MLS Cup?
