Post Leagues Cup this year’s Revs have become brittle. Other teams can break them down way too easily. Yes, there are talented difference makers on this team and the group can rally for stretches. They haven’t been able to sustain their defensive cohesion in weeks, though, so we can’t really expect that to develop just because the playoffs start. I really hope I’m wrong.

I like this compilation of stories. RE your last question, can we rule them out? With Gil, Bou, Chancalay, we SHOULD have had a chance, but not with this coach. Not a chance. Sadly.

We are incredibly thin in defense - we've been at the point the last few weeks where we don't even have enough natural defenders to fit a formation, so we're forced to move players out of position. Not to mention, we're overusing Omar Gonzalez, who is a good veteran pro, but shouldn't be playing 5, 6, 7 ... games in a row at his age.

Other than Spaulding, we've gotten nothing from R2 defenders. We drafted Sousa, is he incapable of helping at all?

I really like this format for a column/post. The one-two punch of losing Bruce and Bye within a four-day stretch really hit this team hard. We’ve been scrambling to replace both ever since, in addition to some pre-existing issues (like getting the best out of Vrioni). Still hopeful things will click heading into the playoffs.
