"It is a complete joke. It's a travesty, and there needs to be some accountability for that decision, because we lost two points because of that decision."
This must be the 20th game this season where Mr Tough Guy over here set up a team that had less than 1 xG for the 90. He is not nearly good enough to be such a smug asshole who is never at fault
Porter purchased a story to explain why he missed the playoffs. This story will cost him a few thousand dollars. The story says that we missed the playoffs because of the refs in this league. He is going to try to sell this story to the locker room, his boss, and the media.
Little man goes off! Tough guy accuses official of being a “coward” - the last verbal refuge for the common scoundrel.
No coach should ever complain about a penalty not being awarded for a handball deflection. That’s just simply luck, and it’s the dumbest element to me in soccer. Why should the most consequential of all results, a penalty kick opportunity, result from a non-threat?
Whatever happened to displaying class on the podium, a la Doc Rivers?
Calls are not going to go your way and you have every right to be upset, but to act in this way is unbecoming of true leadership. It shows a lack of character. Porter seems to be such a sore loser. He ALWAYS blames others. It is becoming more difficult for me to support a team with him as the coach. He is that off putting.
Surprised that so many of the comments are aimed at taking shots at Porter. Regardless of what Porter's done or not done, Revs fans should be furious at that ref - 2 horrible decisions that likely cost us pretty much our last realistic chance of making the playoffs.
Personally, I'm pleased that Porter blew it up in the press conference - not a single penalty all year???
#1: %100 a penalty. The VAR doesn't interrupt the game for no reason. Stupid, stubborn ref.
#2: The harsh penalty for a slow sub seems like real selective enforcement. First, Langoni was really not that slow getting off - and when he apparently was told to hurry it up, he did. Second, has anyone ever seen that call made before? I'm pretty sure I haven't. Four seconds to slow - get real. Every team with a lead drags out the subs, with players pretending to not notice, switching from jog to walk as soon as the ref turns his back, etc.
And, if we're strictly enforcing delaying rules, when was the last time a keeper with a lead released a ball in 6 seconds?
Desperation is a stinky cologne
Porter's favorite song put the blame on someone else.
Well, in this case he's %100 right.

Hey there Caleb, here's a thought, sub an ailing player out earlier. Here's another thought, SCORE MORE GOALS.
