Lima has been a decent pickup but I think Bye's skill set (based on last year admittedly) would provide some more dynamism. Comparing Bye's 2023 (19 games) v Lima's 2024 (16 games) Bye beats him in most measures on a per 90 minute basis. Thanks to FBREF https://fbref.com/tiny/cQqjX particularly in the attacking metrics. I think Bye needs to start on Saturday particularly if Gil is not available.
I think I’d prefer to hear this than to think he’s only fielding the players based on how they performed a year ago. As we see with Borrero, you don’t come back at where you left off and need to work up to it again - and you don’t have to immediately replace someone if the replacement isn’t going to perform better.
That said, Bye is definitely better and if he retained some of what he used to be he should get his spot back
Wasn't long ago Porter said he couldn't wait for Bye to return. Bye and Jones were the back bones to make his system work. Now this!
What end was he talking from back then?
OH FOR CRYIN' OUT LOUD. Nick Lima kicked every ball over people's heads.
