This is a typical, right-out-of-the-playbook Bobby Kraft bluff. It's so obvious. He's trying to get movement on this. If Everett doesn't eventually work out, he'll end up building a SSS right across Rt.1 in Foxborough, and I'm fine with that.
If the Revs move outside of Mass I’d be really sad. I’m assuming it’s a bargaining chip to push for the Everett stadium, but also I wouldn’t be surprised if the Krafts are fed up with Boston and build a stadium in RI or Connecticut in a city that wants them.
I guess as long as they don’t move too far away and remain a New England team I’ll be fine.
The Blazing Musket has high journalistic integrity. As a reader I am gratified that they reached out to the Revs front office for confirmation, and in seeing that there was none, I surmise that Robert Kraft was lying.
Sometimes club staff just makes the decision not to reply. Personally, I think the fact that they didn't reply is an indicator that what he said is true because if it weren't, they would want to correct it.
I would take your knowledge about this over anyone else's, including someone from the cheap seats like me.
I was only objecting to the implication in the brief post that there was an out-of-state buyer involved for the Revs, when it seems as if it it is just Kraft saying that, and I would need another source for that to be considered true, since Kraft is prone to lying.
I don't think a junior staffer would reply that Kraft was just making it up.
