Great article Seth. I think this shows why you want to root for Andrew every game.

I think people forget everything Farrell does in the locker room. He’s a good teammate and role model.

Great article! The number is still confusing, but, I sure hope he’s a Rev for life. Not many, if any, better personalities in the league.

Farrell was nice enough to give me an answer because I think the number is personal to him. I asked the question then a follow-up.

I agree that Farrell is someone you want to root for. If he does end up leaving, I think it would be appropriate for him to sign a one-day contract to retire as a Rev.

Great article. Re: his lady friend, what is a "number switch"? Could that be "numbers witch"? I don't really know what that is either but it would imply someone who is big into the maybe magical significance of numbers?

EDIT: ok so I missed "and" in "and that's a number switch" so the lady friend is not the "number switch" so probably my initial theory is way off-base but I still don't know what the sentence means 😔

Could also be some anniversary

It could be an anniversary or any number of things but it said "and that's a number switch" and I don't know what that means. I actually read "lady friend that's a number switch" so the "and" … only makes me more confused

Farrell’s answer was kind of choppy. I could have done a better job of making it clear. Basically he decided to do a number change and the number he settled on relates to his friend. I asked him why 88 is important to him and his friend and he didn’t go into specifics, which is totally appropriate, imo.

Oh totally appropriate; just wondering if there was an understood meaning in his answer I was missing. Seems like maybe no

I still like the "numbers witch" theory... But anyway, great article about a great player. Definitely a Revs legend in my book.

Lol having recognized that I misread the sentence originally it seems pretty silly but I'm 100% sure there are people out there who would self-describe as such
