I agree with how it was put on the Revolution Recap Podcast… This feels like a PR move and two guys trying to save their jobs vs. building something sustainable.

My concern is, Porter and Onalfo know they are on fire and the coming decisions are possibly too short sighted.

Welcome home, Matt Turner, but you won't recognize much except the stadium.

Unless our keeper becomes our leading goal scorer then I don't see things changing. I will say as much as I can't stand Porter or Onalfo at this point, looking purely at the numbers we have lost 4 games by more than one goal. Our xG is often higher than our opponents in those one goal losses. We need a lethal striker and better center defenders.

Love Matt but feel bad for him coming back to this dumpster fire.

In the context of Müller and Son landing in the West Coast, heck even in the context of Iloski’s departure and return to the league, I’m happy Matty is back where he came up from rookie to international starter. It’s a real nice story.

In that same context, the Revs again look to lean more on luck than solid planning and roster management. The Revs are unlikely to be a big club, I’m coming to terms with that. What I hope for, though, is a well run club that develops players as it seeks to compete. This return to mid-table middle, playoff line struggle-fest is disheartening. This region’s pride in ability to work and plan ahead is not embodied by this team. That is what is disappointing about the last two+ seasons.

Welcome back, Matty!! We love ya! Look for Carles on some quick outlets!
