An equally good question: Does Onolfo continue to be a good hire?

and best question of all....Would the football-centric Krafts be your

ideal choice to work for? Ask yourself: How often does the camera

focus on them watching Revs home games from their owners' suite?

I'm cautiously optimistic. He can't be any worse than Porter! All coaches of professional teams had to start somewhere, including the ones who end up being successful. I would feel better about the hire though if Onalfo was gone and his replacement had made this pick. I don't have any faith in Onalfo.

I agree about Onolfo. Just not very sure about him.

Maybe they needed an even more complete break with last season

And, who had the final say in the MItrovic hire?

I am encouraged by the choice of Mitrovic as head coach. I was impressed by his work with the USMNT U-20's and their performance during the recent WC (BTW, they had opportunities against Morocco but didn't take them and a defensive miscue did them in at the end). Also, another MLS newcomer's (Mikey Varas) work as head coach at FC San Diego is admirable and commendable. New kid on the [head coaching] block, and the league, has his expansion team as the #1 seed in the Western Conference. Not too shabby. Besides, after last season, I need something to be optimistic about. I look forward to meeting Mitrovic at the season member meet n' greet.

Cautiously optimistic as well. One note: sure he's been coaching kids, but most of those kids are already professionals.

There is going to be a tough locker room waiting for Mitrovic. A lot of vets, not much youth besides Miller, long losing streaks with the vets with no chance for Mitrovic to bring in anybody - but maybe he becomes a Campana-whisperer.

This hire is one that I think I believe is a good move, even if it doesn’t end up working out. If they’d gone with a Josh Wolff type of coach I’d have no hope for next season, but this move feels like they at least want the next year to be different tactically and in the locker room.

I think that’s the right way to make the change, so I’m not going to complain if it doesn’t work. A coach has to have a first time leading a club sometime, and it might as well be stepping into a team coming off of what should have been two incredible years but wasn’t.
