-- Bilello opened up with a statement highlighting how he started as a Revolution supporter and his dedication to fans. The executive stated that he still considers himself a fan and added that he understands supporter culture more than most club presidents.

“I’m here tonight because I respect supporters’ group and what you bring to the club,” Bilello said. “You won't like all the answers I give. There's some answers that I might not be able to give you guys, but I always try to be as honest as I can. I never lie.” --

Bilello always opens with the same #%@ line - and frankly, it ticks me off, because it is so canned and ... like, who cares? He just uses it as a cover to provide zero information.

Really, is there anything really noteworthy in this? Didn't think so. Glad I didn't waste my time.

Exactly right Bob - I was thinking the same thing. He always opens with that in an attempt to deflect criticism. It's cynical and tiresome.

I appreciate the timeline targeting a sporting director being fully hired before the end of the year. Earlier reporting and Bilello’s statements here indicate that is the first step to them hiring a coach or manager.

> The topic of Turf vs Grass came up (because of course it did) and Bilello revealed that the turf would be replaced for the start of next season. The club president stated that for the World Cup grass will replace the turf and won’t simply be placed on top of the turf. While still unsure, Bilello did believe that as a result the Revs will play on grass until the World Cup once the grass is installed.

This paragraph is hard to understand. Will turf be replaced *with grass* next season? Or when is "once the grass is installed" because this implies "for the World Cup" but then says "once it's installed … until the World Cup"

Next season the Revs will play on turf, it will be new turf. In regards to playing on grass, like I said Bilello said he is unsure but essentially that he imagines the revs will play on it once it is indeed put down
