Several Names Receive International Call Ups
While three names will represent their nation in the coming weeks, one name is apologizing for declining a call up.
June’s international window will see plenty of Revolution representation as several names from the first and second teams will represent their respective nations.
Forward Leonardo Campana returns to the international stage as he joins Ecuador for a pair of World Cup qualifying action. June 5 will see Campana and La Tri face Brazil before they face Peru on June 10.
June’s qualifiers allow Campana to add to his international resume. Since debuting in March of 2019, Campana has 16 caps with Ecuador and has clocked 500 minutes.
Campana has been out for the last four games across all competitions as he works his way back from a hamstring injury.
Since arriving from Miami in the offseason, Campana has tallied two goals in nine appearances for the Revs.
2025 MLS SuperDraft pick Donovan Parisian will take the international stage for the first time as he received a call-up to the Armenia Under-21 National Team for a pair of friendlies against Cyprus.
Since being selected with the 18th overall pick in the 2025 MLS SuperDraft, Parisian has featured exclusively with Revolution II, where he’s notched one clean sheet in four appearances for the club.
Revolution II forward Liam Butts returns to the international stage as he was named to Guyana’s squad ahead of their pair of World Cup qualifiers.
June 6 sees Butts and Guyana open the window against Nicaragua before facing Montserrat on June 10.
2025 has seen Butts continue being effective in Revolution II’s attack. His nine appearances have seen Butts find the back of the net five times.
His productiveness has also led him to make his first team debut during the Revolution’s Open Cup run. After debuting during May 8th’s match against Rhode Island FC, Butts made his first start for the first team as he clocked 67 minutes in a 3-1 loss to Chicago.
While there were plenty of call-ups, one member of the Revolution declined an invite. Revolution defender Ilay Feingold turned down an opportunity to represent Israel at the youth level.
In a statement posted to his Instagram story, Feingold emphasized how the Israel National Team system has factored in his development as a player and a person. Feingold also stated representing the nation at any age level is “a huge privilege” for him.
Feingold apologized for turning down the opportunity.
“I made a mistake in the decision not to honor the invitation to the young team for the upcoming friendly, and I regret that,” he said. “There is no greater pride than to represent the country and wear the national uniform. I’d do anything to make this happen again as soon as possible.”
Feingold’s career has seen him make several appearances for the Israel U-18, U-19, U-20, and U-21 squads. He also made three appearances during the 2024 Summer Olympics and has two caps with the Israel Senior Team.
It would be great if Feingold turned down the Israeli team because he doesn’t want to play for a country killing children on a daily basis. I suppose if we can’t get leadership and principles from elected officials we can’t expect much from footballers
Is the expectation that Campana will actually see the field given his current injured state?
