Richie Williams Satisfied With Win Over NYCFC II
Hear what Richie Williams had to say following Revolution II's win over New York.
Despite being on short rest, Revolution II got back into the win column on Saturday as they handed New York City FC II a 2-1 defeat inside Gillette Stadium.
Williams acknowledged how tough the quick turnaround was for the squad.
“It's hard,” he said. “A lot of the guys had to come back and play. It's not easy for these guys and, you know, in terms of your depth, we don't have a lot of contracted guys. We were relying on some of the Academy guys, a great experience for them. They've come in and did a good job for us.”
While tough, Williams applauded the team’s effort.
After playing five of their first six matches inside Gillette, Williams and Revolution II have a daunting task ahead as they’ll play the next five matches on the road. Revs II kick off the five-game road trip on May 4 when they travel north of the border to face Toronto FC II.
Richie has Revs2 cooking this season Lets hope it continues the rest of the season.
