Rhode Island FC Sells Out First Home Game
Finally, I'm no longer the only person who watches sports at Bryant University
Soccer fans in Rhode Island couldn’t wait for RIFC to kick off, and they certainly didn’t wait last minute to get their tickets.
RIFC announced on Friday that the season opener on March 16th against New Mexico United will host a capacity crowd of 5,252.
“This community has made an enormous statement by filling up every seat at Beirne Stadium for our historic home opener,” said Rhode Island FC President Brett Luy. “March 16 will be an evening of generational memories and we can't wait to bring the noise, rock the stadium and show that the Ocean State is Anchored in Community.”
While kickoff is scheduled for 4 pm, fans lucky enough to snag a ticket are encouraged to get to Bryant University early. Parking lots will open at 1 p.m. for tailgaters. Fans can also experience a fan fest with activities and games, food trucks, and a beer garden. Additional details can be found on RIFC’s website.
For fans unable to get a ticket to RIFC’s first match, the match will be available on NESN and ESPN+.
