Was sitting in the supporters section. What a great atmosphere. I knew it was not going to be too exciting of a game with no true striker starting. Is Dikwa coming back from injury or has he just fallen out of favor? We got back from getting our food in about the 60th minute (took like 25 minutes) and I had no idea he was even on the field. Did he even touch the ball?

Yeah, Dikwa's just coming off a knock, and a lot of the other guys have knocks, too. Perhaps it's a result of the long road schedule, or perhaps the physio team isn't up to snuff this season, or a little of column A and a little of column B--who knows?--but they've definitely been unlucky with injuries this season. Once Dikwa got on he had a few good plays, including a VERY near miss, but that's Dikwa--he's very boom or bust. One of my long-term criticisms of RIFC is and has been that they lack proper depth, and this demonstrates my point. It's like when Head Coach Khano Smith finally signed a second and third fullback, only to promptly trade Stephen Turnbull (one of our most aggressive AND progressive players. That depth issue--along with their propensity for slow starts--is what worries me.

Dikwa has been on the mend for 2 weeks. Seeing him back for 30 minutes is a great sign.

Ohhh! I’ve missed the last couple games with the timing of them. Well yes that is definitely a good sign I’m glad he hasn’t fallen out of favor
