Good info. What about another trade with NYCFC for Talles Magno? 950K salary but we would only have it for 1/2 year. He is a Young DP so that complicates things unless the new DP rules are in effect. Maybe buy him down with TAM. Swap him for Vrioni even.
MLS rules make it difficult to trade for any player with a designation. At present, with Borrero and 3 DPs we’d need to offload one of those players (depending on the severity of Chancalay’s injury) or wait for the proposed rule change to be finalized.
Can’t imagine any team would be willing to take on Vrioni’s salary given his body of work in MLS but NYCFC have somehow gotten worse production from their ST over the past year so they might make the most sense.
