Revolution Sign Matt Polster to Contract Extension
Friday's extension keeps the MLS vet in New England through the 2027 season.
Midfielder Matt Polster’s tenure with the Revolution will continue as the 31-year-old inked a contract extension on Friday that will keep him in New England through the 2027 MLS season.
The 10-year MLS veteran began his career with the Chicago Fire back in 2015. After four seasons in the Windy City, Polster crossed the pond to join Scottish Premiership side Rangers in 2019.
Since joining the Revs on July 8th, 2020, Polster has notched seven goals and seven assists in his 143 appearances for the club.
Polster called Friday’s extension“an incredible honor”. The midfielder also took time to thank the New England faithful.
“To the fans— thank you for your years of unwavering support and love,” he said. “I’m looking forward to continuing this journey with you. Soccer has always been my passion and to pursue it in a place that has become home is something I don’t take for granted. I’m proud of how far we’ve come, yet more motivated than ever to help this club bring a championship to New England.”
Polster and the New England Revolution return to action on Saturday when they host the San Jose Earthquakes.
