Oh puh-lease. Still hasn't figured out how and when to sub, look at the body language after the 60th minute. They are not improving, they had 1 good half at home. Where is Jack? Where is Noel? Where is Brandon Bye?
Improving from an F to an F+ is still a failure. For a team that is having performance issues in the 2nd half the lack of use of substitutions is very puzzling. 6 games 30 opportunities to sub on players, 18 used, 60% use rate. If the guys on the bench aren't good enough to see the field the you have to question roster construction, after all these are "his guys".
One of the things I liked in the first few games was the partnership between Yuell and Yusuf. Since Polster has come back and come up to speed, it seems like Yusuf is getting fewer touches as Polster is once again emerging as the primary pivot in the midfield.
Since Yusuf is a far better passer (quicker, more assertive, more creative, better vision, ... need I go on?), this is really stunting our attack - and falling back into the hole we were in last year. Yusuf and Gil were developing some real understanding, but that seems to be losing impact because Polster's on the ball more and Yusuf less.
Porter seems to have a blind spot for it, but Polster is an anchor on the team's attack.
Sometimes is seems like Porter is writing these articles with the positive spin you give them! .26 expected goals from open play is pathetic. Also no mention from Porter, or the Blazing Musket, that the Cincinnati team was decimated by injuries and were therefore far from their best (if the Revs had so many key players out due to injury, that's all we would have have heard about!) Next week's game should be telling.
Hey Paul. I write these articles as a summary of what was said during the presser. I save my analysis for other types of articles (3 thoughts, a closer look, etc).
I do think the article recognizes that the attack hasn’t been producing. I mention that they’ve only had one game where they had more than one expected goal. I also included a chart with stats.
Porter did mention that both teams were missing players. I just didn’t end up using the quote.
He said, “They had Evander out, who is a very key player, but we had Chancalay and Leo out as well.”

Think it is time to sub Porter!!!
Exactly. Porter's subbing is terrible.

Love to hear the staff's opinion.
Going to just comment this..Porter sucks. He is the problem.
