Revolution II Sign Javaun Mussenden
The Revolution Academy Player of the Year joins Revolution II full time
Revolution II bolstered its roster on Tuesday after announcing the signing of Revolution Academy midfielder Javaun Mussenden.
Mussenden signs his first professional contract with the club after splitting time over the past two seasons between Revs II and the Academy. The 2025-26 MLS NEXT season saw Mussenden tally a goal and an assist in five starts with the Revolution Under-18s.
After clocking 208 minutes over four appearances in 2024, 2025 saw Mussenden take a tremendous leap. The Dallas, Georgia native tallied one goal and two assists while clocking 1,206 minutes in 22 regular-season appearances.
2025 also saw Mussenden receive recognition from the Revs after being named the 2024-25 Revolution Academy Player of the Year after tallying three goals and an assist with the U-18s during the 2024-25 season.
After winning the Academy Player of the Year award in October, Mussenden emphasized his passion for the club and the honor he has representing it.
“Being part of this club has meant a lot to me, and I’m grateful for all the support I’ve received,” he said. “I’m proud to represent New England every time I step on the pitch.”
Tuesday’s signing comes after the midfielder had initially committed to play collegiate soccer at the highly prestigious Indiana University, but it appears his allegiance lies with the Revs.
