Report: Revolution Set to Sign Damario McIntosh to Homegrown Deal
The 16-year-old defender will reportedly join the first team in 2025 following a meteoric rise through the Revolution Academy and Revolution II.
According to sources close to The Athletic’s Tom Bogert, the New England Revolution’s pro player pathway will reportedly see another graduate as Bogert reports the Revs are set to sign Academy and Revolution II standout Damario McIntosh.
Sources close to Bogert state McIntosh’s Homegrown deal will begin in 2025, which means the 16-year-old right back will remain with Revolution II through the remainder of the 2024 MLS NEXT Pro season.
The Newark, California native has seen a meteoric rise since joining the Revolution Academy in 2023. After ending his debut season with two goals and one assist, McIntosh ascended the pro player pathway on March 13th after signing an Ameature Agreement with New England Revolution II.
Since signing with Revs II, McIntosh has appeared in 11 matches, where he’s clocked 853 minutes.
McIntosh and Revolution II return to action Friday, June 14th, when they host New York Red Bulls II inside Mark A. Ouellette Stadium.
