Report: Ignatius Ganago's Loan Extended
A report out of France suggests the Cameroonian international will remain in New England for the remainder of the 2025 season.
Ignatius Ganago’s time with the New England Revolution will continue as Ouest France’s David Phelippeau reports his loan with the club has been extended.
Ganago’s loan to New England in January was slated to last six months but included a clause that would extend it for another six months if certain performance benchmarks were met.
According to Phelippeau, appearing in 50% or more of the Revolution's matches would trigger the extension. Since the start of the 2025 MLS season, the Cameroon international has started in all 15 games for the Revolution.
The Nantes loanee’s time in New England has seen him tally one goal and three assists over 1,251 minutes.
Phelippeau’s report comes a day after the Revolution placed Ganago on the short-term injured list with a quad injury that will sideline him for a minimum of six matches.
Thought he would be better than he has been. Hope at seasons end they don't keep him unless he shows what he is capable of playing.
