Rebellion Event Pays Tribute to Gustavo Bou
Join The Rebellion in saying Goodbye to La Pantera
The Rebellion will be hosting “Gracias Gustavo Bou” to say goodbye and pay tribute to Gustavo Bou as he departs The Revolution.
Scheduled for December 15th at Donohue’s Bar and Grill in Watertown, Massachusetts, the event is open to all Revs fans with Bou planning to be in attendance. Fans can also sign a flag before or at the event that will be presented to Bou.
“When the rumors started to circle around that Bou would not be part of the Revolution in 2024 it was almost a no brainer that should the rumors be true, we would try to do something for him,” said membership chair David Rodriguez. “Gustavo is a great player and his arrival to the club sparked a change and is what lead us to be a competitive team. Nothing shows that clearer than his first goal against Vancouver. When the news became true, it was the moment to act. He has also gone out of his way to build a positive relationship with us (the Rebellion). During the 2022 season Gustavo had reached out to us to help organize a get together for his brother and family friends who wanted to sit in the Fort and watch him play. We hosted them in the Supporters’ lot and celebrated with them when he scored. He and his family were very grateful to us for hosting them. This made it very easy to reach out to him and to let him know that we would do whatever was possible to celebrate him. Gustavo in turn agreed to take part in whatever we could plan with the only caveat being that he wanted as many people who could be there to go.”
Questions about the event can be sent to The Rebellion at the “Contract Us” page at nerebellion.org.
“I’m excited to see the members of our group working hard for offseason events,” Rebellion president Cory Cloutier added. “This is our second event this offseason which is something we don’t typically do. We have a connection with Bou as throughout his time in New England we have hosted his family in the lot and the Fort on multiple occasions. I’m glad we are able to give a little back to him as he gave so much to us.”
