Peay came in and immediately started to implement a solution to a problem that didn't exist.

The team had a roster built to play a straight forward 4-2-3-1 and he comes in and comes up with a system built around a bang average MLS player who can't run, pass forward or defend 1v1.

Credit to the players, this team did not implode despite a steady set of near weekly off-field changes that - to say the least - were not anticipated.

That they did not implode as a group, get blown out, just completely fall apart had some commentators describe them during broadcasts as having weathered and handled the changes well. While not exactly incorrect, it seems fair to say that something is missing, has gone missing. Something has changed on the field.

There are playoffs ahead in weeks. It’s still true that anything can happen. As a fan and supporter of this team, and for these players who have given so much struggled through so much, I want some clarity of leadership. I want a declaration of a timeline or sequence of events for when there will be a sporting director, technical director, and coaching staff for the 2024. I don’t mind an interim being considered, when the time is right, but I think these players deserve to know that they are playing for a team with a plan.

Let Peay go and put Ramos in charge. Peay is in over his head and has no clue.
