Oyirworth Records Two Starts With Uganda, Signs With New Agency
It's been an exciting week for the 18-year-old.
It’s been a big week for Allan Oyirworth, who put in two 90-minute performances with the Uganda National Team and signed with New Era Global Sports.
The 18-year-old functioned as a central midfielder in Uganda’s games against Cameroon and Gambia. Known for his tireless engine, he ran over eight miles in each match.
Oyirwoth made his senior debut for the Cranes at 16 years old, assisting Rogers Mato in a 1-0 win over Somalia in World Cup qualifying. He almost had his first goal with Uganda against Cameroon during this past window.
“It's a very good feeling to be back on the national team,” Oyirwoth told Pan Africa Football. “To always represent my country, it is a very good feeling. It's a pleasure.”
On Thursday, New Era Global Sports announced they are now representing Oyirwoth in the United Kingdom in conjunction with Russell Pointon of RealTalentFC.
New Era Global Sports represents several players in Europe, including Mason Holgate and Michael Keane of Everton, Benjamin Godfrey of Atalanta, and Josh Murphy of Portsmouth.
Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand, who serves as an ambassador and mentor for the agency, wrote on social media, “Welcome to the family.”
Oyirworth signed with the New England Revolution in January 2025. He’s been a standout performer for Revs II, scoring his first goal against New York City’s second team on April 26.
Oyirworth started both of the Revs’ U.S. Open Cup games, playing 75 minutes against Rhode Island FC and 90 minutes against the Chicago Fire.
Revolution head coach Caleb Porter complimented Oyirwoth, Eric Klein, and Cristiano Oliveira–all teenagers–after the Fire game, saying, “I thought those three guys were excellent.” He later added, “They have bright futures with this club.”
