The New England Revolution faced off against the San Jose Earthquakes on Saturday night and secured a point against Bruce Arena and a bevy of former Revs with a 0-0 draw.

The Revs deployed a relatively first choice starting XI with the backline of Tanner Beason, Brayan Ceballos, and Mamadou Fofana playing in front of goalkeeper Aljaz Ivacic. Peyton Miller and Ilay Feingold were on the flanks while Carles Gil, Alhassan Yusuf, and Matt Polster made up the midfield. Up front was the duo of Ignatius Ganago and Leo Campana.

For the Earthquakes, former Revs Mark-Anthony Kaye and Nick Lima made the starting XI while Ian Harkes, Dave Romney, Earl Edwards Jr., and DeJuan Jones were on the bench.

So what do you need to know about the match? Here are three thoughts.
