You just know PRO is gonna pull a "actually in this one scenario this is how the rules work but they will never work this way in another scenario especially if it benefits the Revs or another non-league-favorite"
I’ve commented in another TBM special, so I won’t reiterate too much of my broader objection to this being awarded a penalty kick.
You make some good points, and the hand is in a strange position, and it was leading to a pass to Vrioni in the box - but still, balls bounce off hands all the time in the box, this wasn’t a shot, and it’s time to stop rewarding forwards for the dumb luck of deflections. Reward skill, punish bad intentions, but don’t make up for the lack of offensive talent with bogus pk goals.
Good defense of your points, but are you ok with Coach Tough Guy name- calling Ford a “coward”?
Everyone knows Caleb's comments are unacceptable and he's going to pay a fine and I wouldn't be surprised if he gets suspended either. He crossed a line and he knows it.
The penalty on the other hand is not the dumb luck of deflections. It used to be standard to literally call almost everything that hit a hand in the box a PK not that long ago and that interpretation was bad for the game and it got changed. This was a bad, intentional action by a defender and it should have been whistled accordingly.
I agree with you that we shouldn't be giving penalties on non-scoring chances/incidental 'fouls', but deal with that out-of-season and at the FIFA level (it's a sport-wide issue). This kind of call has worked against the Revs all season - but somehow when it's us expecting a call, the ref does backflips to avoid doing so.
As for the 'coward' remark - I think %90 of Porter's remarks were spot-on, but the 'coward' remark was just a stupid, needless insult.

No, no...this is not that weird Bou offside thing that... *sighs*
