It might have been due to the away section being closer but I have never heard drums that loud in Gillette. More a compliment to the Hartford fans than anything.
Buck looked great no doubt, but Polster has a much deserved lock on his lineup spot — he's been consistently rock solid and is one of the best defensive midfielders in MLS
Yeah I would agree right now Polster is starting but I think Buck is making it harder and harder to sit him. He will be a good depth piece this season but my ideal midfield is Borrero-Gil-Blessing with Polster right now but if Buck really starts to play well I might prefer him over Polster. Polster is so underrated tho and is for sure a great D-Mid
> Buck, Bajraktarevic, and Panayotou were the best players on the pitch Tuesday night
*what?* I legitimately forgot Buck was on the field for most of the game, and I noticed Jack during play for the first time in the second half. FotMob rated Jack second-worst of the starters, tied with Makoun—and Borrero best. FotMob is weird and its numbers are only one piece of the puzzle but this analysis is fascinatingly different from what i saw tonight.
Sometimes disappearing in a game isn’t a bad thing, out of the starters I was most impressed by them. Who would you have as the best player(s) on the pitch?
Sure. Sometimes a player can have a quietly excellent game. But eg Buck had 1 shot, 1 chance created, 1 tackle. 85% passing. I think that's just regular quiet.
I might say Rivera. I honestly might say Borrero. It was a pretty ugly game and nobody looked particularly impressive.
When Borrero is on his game he good and in this he was not at all. You don't which Borrero you are going get game to game. He needs to mature and will be a great player.
“Maybe the Fort should incorporate some drums into their in-game festivities.” We do...

Fair enough. They do have a loud presence at home matches.

Rivera is definitely a good shout. I just had much higher expectations for Borrero in this game but maybe that’s on me.
