Matt Turner & Cristiano Oliveira Receive International Call-Ups
Two more members of the Revs organization will represent the club during October's international window.
After a flurry of international call-ups on Wednesday, two more members of the Revolution organization received the call on Thursday.
Revolution goalkeeper Matt Turner returns to the United States Men’s National Team, as the October window will see the U.S. play two international friendlies. October 10 sees the U.S. host Ecuador inside Austin’s Q2 Stadium. The U.S. closes the window with a meeting against Australia inside Commerce City’s Dick’s Sporting Goods Stadium on October 14.
October’s camp marks the first call-up Turner has received since returning to New England this summer. The 31-year-old keeper will look to use October’s window as an opportunity to show head coach Mauricio Pochettino why he should still be in contention to be the United States’ starting goalkeeper.
Since returning to the Revolution in August, Turner has notched two clean sheets in his eight appearances for the club. He will look to add to his extensive international career, which has seen him tally 29 wins and 27 clean sheets over 52 caps with the United States.
Revolution II midfielder returns to the international stage after being named to the United States U-17 training camp roster. Oliveira will travel to Fayetteville, Georgia, to take part in camp from October 6th to 10th. It marks the final training camp for the U-17s before next month’s FIFA Under-17 World Cup.
2025 has been a breakout year for the former Revs Academy prospect. After signing his first pro contract in the offseason, Oliveira’s first season as a full-time member of Revolution II has seen the Somerville native tally five goals in 20 appearances for the club.
Oliveira is quite familiar with this U-17 side. February saw the midfielder make three appearances during the Concacaf U-17 Championship. Oliveira appeared in all three matches, where he notched one goal in 108 minutes of action.
