We noticed Turner talking in the "huddle" before the match and certainly orchestrating a lot more than Ivacic. As you have noted, his long balls found their mark far more often than Ivacic's --- I noticed he always seemed to find Carles Gil, a good choice. He also sounds so grounded in reality, which is a good sign.
I guess I can't get too excited about a Revs win against one of the few teams that are worse than them. DC United were terrible. If they can start to consistently win against better teams (and occasionally lose some games) I'll agree they are improving.
While the result against DC was a wonderful change, we left so many opportunities on the table. DC is easily the worst team in the league. This next match will be a much better litmus test. I still think we need a true #9 but with Turner in a DP slot we would need to move some pieces to make it work and I don't think there is a market for anyone on this team save for maybe Miller or Fiengold and so help me god if we sell either of them in this window after selling off all of our young talent last off season I will not be renewing my season tickets.
I'm sure Turner had a great view of Son attacking down the wings sat on Arsenal's bench
