Hartford Athletic Announce Date for Rescheduled Game vs. Indy Eleven
The September date will add one more home game to the back half of the Latics 2025 calendar
Hartford Athletic announced on Wednesday that their home game against Indy Eleven, originally scheduled for April 12, has been rescheduled for Wednesday, September 3. The game will kick off at 7:30 PM.
The original fixture was postponed due to unsafe conditions on the pitch. Sleet, freezing rain, and continuing cold temperatures in Hartford left Trinity Health Stadium blanketed in a slippery mixture of ice and snow on the morning of the 12th. Crews worked hard to clear the pitch, but at noon, the decision was taken to delay kickoff from 2 PM to 3 PM, and 45 minutes later, the determination was made to postpone the fixture entirely.
With limited options for rescheduling, it will contribute to a busy week for both clubs, who will play three games in eight days. The Latics will return home in between visits North Carolina FC and The Miami FC, while Indy will host Louisville City and then travel to take on Charleston Battery after their visit to Hartford.
The rescheduling adds one more home game to the Latics calendar at the end of the season. Previously, they had only two games at THS in September and October, and played seven of their last nine fixtures away from home. Hartford will still play four of its last five on the road, but the additional home game at the tail end of the season will be welcome not only to the players but also for a club that has seen good attendance in those months over the last few seasons. In 2023 and 2024, Hartford reported sellouts in four of the seven games played in September and October, and over 5,000 tickets sold and distributed in two of the remaining three games.
Hartford Athletic are back in action on Saturday, April 26, as they host Portland Hearts of Pine in the USL Jägermeister Cup, with kickoff scheduled for 4 PM .
