Gevork Diarbian Discusses On and Offfield Fashion
Hear what Diarbian had to say about his playstyle and fashion choices.
Despite the result, one of the many positives from Wednesday’s 2-2 draw against Crew 2 was another solid outing from Gevork Diarbian.
Diarbian has been a consistent presence under Richie Williams as the Cranston, Rhode Island native has appeared in every match since the start of the 2024 season.
“I have to continue to stay positive and continue to do my part,” Diarbian said. Try to be as dangerous as I can on the field and try to get that energy to the boys.”
One reason Williams has relied on Diarbian has been his ability to go one-on-one with anybody in his path. It’s something Gevork feels is a real strength of his play style.
“One-on-one has always been my credibility,” he said. “I have that confidence to just go at people. Every time I get the ball, I want to create. In my head, I know I can beat this guy.”
Speaking of style, Diarbian has shined on and off the field since arriving in New England. Similar to on the field, the winger has been a consistent presence on the club’s pregame arrival fit posts over the past two seasons.
Diarbian credits his mother for his style off the field.
“She honestly helps me with that,” Diarbian said. “I try to keep it classy. Got to feel good before the game.”
Diarbian will look to bring the style on and off the field when Revs II returns to action Saturday afternoon when New York City FC II comes to town.
Gevork has been consistent every game this season. He is dangerous to all opponents he faces with his speed and footwork.
