Damorney Hutchinson Reflects on Dream Start with Revolution II
Hear what Hutchinson had to say after notching a goal just minutes into his Revs II debut!
The 63rd minute in Thursday’s 2-0 victory over FC Cincinnati 2 was a big one for Damorney Hutchinson as the forward entered the match to make his Revolution II debut.
It took Hutchinson no time to make an impact on the game. After receiving Hutchinson’s pass in the 73rd minute, Alex Monis tapped the ball forward into the path of Hutchinson. The striker ran onto the ball and pumped the brakes to send his defender sliding. All alone, Hutchinson proceeded to rocket a shot past the reach of Nate Crockford and into the net to notch his first goal for the club.
Following the match, Hutchinson told The Blazing Musket that the transition into the group has been well.
“Coming in has been a really fun and enjoyable environment to be in,” he said. “I really appreciate the guys, making my debut, and making a dream come true."
Hutchinson further emphasized the impact of everyone around him in the transition to Revolution II.
“Everyone has been there for me,” he added. “If I need anything like encouragement or tips. It’s a good team, and I look to do amazing things going forward.”
While Hutchinson was incredibly pleased with his first performance, he emphasized his hope to continue producing for the team.
“It’s always nice to get on the scoresheet because that’s what I’m here to do,” the striker said. “I just hope I can do more.“
Hutchinson will look to continue producing when Revs II wraps up their early season homestand against Toronto FC II on March 28th at 2 PM ET.
Was a good goal he scored and he looked good on the pitch. a player to watch this season.
