Boston Legacy FC sign 18-year-old Forward Chloe Ricketts
The forward will play for the Houston Dash through the end of this season and will officially join the Legacy in January 2026.
Boston Legacy FC announced the pre-contract signing of 18-year-old Chloe Ricketts from the Washington Spirit today.
The forward will play for the Houston Dash through the end of this season and will officially join the Legacy in January 2026. Her contract will run through 2028, with a mutual option for 2029.
Ricketts signed for the Spirit in March 2023, making her the then-youngest contracted player in NWSL history at 15 years, 283 days old, as well as the first player to go through the league’s Under-18 Entry Mechanism.
She has played in seven regular season games this season and was called up to the U.S. Under-20 Women’s National Team for the Concacaf Championship over the summer.
A Dexter, Michigan native, Ricketts made her mark in youth soccer. She joined USL W League team AFC Ann Arbor at the age of 14 and became the club’s youngest goalscorer. The standout scored two goals in 11 appearances. Though she opted to go pro, TopDrawerSoccer ranked Ricketts as the 25th-best prospect in the 2025 college recruiting class.
“At the age of 18, Chloe has already made 30 senior appearances at the professional level. Bringing youth national team experience, Chloe will add energy, versatility and creativity to our squad,” said General Manager Domè Guasch. “As we look to build not only for 2026 but for the long term, Chloe will be a valuable addition to Boston Legacy FC.”
