Alex Monis Earns Philippines National Team Call-Up
The Revs II newcomer recieves his first senior national team call-up!
Forward Alex Monis’ work throughout 2024 was recognized on Sunday when he was one of 26 names selected to represent the Philippines National Team during their upcoming training camp.
Sunday’s call-up marks the Revolution II newcomer’s first senior national team call-up after beginning his international career with the United States at the U-16 level in 2018.
Monis’ stock has gradually risen since inking a deal with Revolution II on January 8th. The Downers Grove, Illinois native has appeared in all nine contests in 2024, where he’s tallied three goals and two assists over 587 minutes.
Monis and the Philippines will compete in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Preliminary Competition and the 2027 AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia Qualifiers. Their first match takes place on June 6th when they face Vietnam. The Philippines will wrap up the window on June 11th as they face Indonesia.
